Hello, all.
It's been 8 years. Now that the kids are grown and my wife no longer enjoys overnighters in Big Yellow, I've decided the best thing to do is sell her. Not my wife, the GMC.

I'll look at Bethune and other sites to get an idea of what I should ask. I know, the market sucks, but it's better that somebody get some use out of this great coach.

David,
Sell the wife, keep the coach! It is a shame that your better half
has lost interest in getting away and exploring. We built our coach
for ourselves as it allows us to do things and go places in comfort,
safety and style. Even at our stage in life, age 67 for me and
slightly younger for her we look forward to using our coach to see
places we have not been before and do things we have not done before.
By the time that you figure hotel, meals, car expenses that include
fuel, maintenance, insurance. It cost me less to go to Tucson AZ and
stay for two month that for someone to use their car and rent for two
month. I have my own bed, bath & shower and Kitchen! So much for the
rant, sorry!
Coach looks like a box stock Glenbrook in good shape, IMHO a fair
price would be in the 14K to 19K range, but people have been giving
their coaches away at very low prices and that hurts all GMC classic
coach owners.

Funny about the wife, J.R. Of course, I don't have that option.
My coach is almost "box stock," except for extra overhead cabinets, engine compartment cooling vents, heavy duty front wheel bearings, tachometer, and a microwave/convection oven. I couldn't stand the color of the original carpet so the new one is "wrong." Both myself and the previous owner attempted to keep the coach as original as possible. Too bad the decals are fading, otherwise the exterior finish is still good.
Over the years, lots of things just wore out and had to be replaced or rebuilt, but that's par for the course. It's not the 100,000 miles that have caused most of the wear; it's the 36 years that simply aged out a lot of soft parts.
I was hoping one of my kids would take a shine to Big Yellow and want to keep her. Unfortunately, they aren't into road trips or tinkering with machinery. Might be a generational thing.
