I have a Dometic RM 3800. The board was replaced with a dinosaur board about a year ago and worked fine.

This year it stopped cooling and so I purchased (and had installed) a new cooling unit. It still does not cool. The cooling unit was replaced for free under warrenty, the guy later confirmed that the first one he put in worked on the test bench just fine.

Still no cooling. Green light on. Good flame.

When I apply 110 the flame does not go out.

The thermostat has continunity.

The fuses in the board are good.

Did the "new" board go bad after a year? Could it be anything else.

Oh yea - the coach is level front to back and side to side.

Thanks as always.

Neil, can you take it back to where you got the unit and have them check it? I know nothing about this stuff. Had to buy a new 3 way before I learned about Leon up in northern In.

They have been to my house 3 times. $550 into it and they say the problem is not their cooling unit.

Neil,
Does the rear coil heat up almost all he way towards the top?
If it does not, there is a good chance that the ammonia has
crystallized in the system so the gas is not circulating.

UPDATE

The no work on 110 AC problem was stupid easy. The 110 AC out and in on the Dino Board were reversed.

Its the little things

On the gas, even though the flame looked fine, I cleaned the orifice and it is now working grat on both gas and 110.

So there you go.
