Now that we have used the coach about a half dozen times, wife and I, Wife, Dogs, and I, Son and I, Myself alone, etc. One common thing that keeps coming up is that we just pile crap on the two captains chairs on the curb side of the coach. We sit on the couch with or without the dogs, so the seats are poorly shaped storage devices. It's like using a Pop-up trailer, and I hated that.

I think I'm going to build a cabinet in their place with a big door on the end by the people door so I can still slide my EZ-UP and chairs, etc into the space, and then perhaps some cabinets or drawers and a nice wide countertop for whatever, with a sliding or flip top table that reaches the couch for eating.

As for the capt chairs, I mounted them with conversion van removable bases, so I may make the cabinet collapsable/removable as well, so I can reconfigure the coach depending on number of pax we have.

Anyone else done anything like this? Pics?

We removed the dinette and replaced it with a modified 60" sink base cabinet with a door next to the entrance. Made 2 drawers for the center and capped it with premade formica countertop which matches the sink/stove cabinet.
You have to make your own end panels to compensate for the curved body.
I have no luck posting pictures.

Chris, we took out the chairs on the curb side. Gives us so much more room. Have a pullout table on that wall but we rarely eat at the table. Living in the coach for 3-4 months at a time, we need all the room we can get.

Soo, a Cabinet is what we will build
Diagrams below:

It will have a big door to slide in the chairs and EZ-UP's with a little shelf at the top to slide Fishing poles and rocket launch rails (heh heh).

It will have large swing down doors on the front to expose my 4-drawer plano tackle boxes that I use for both fishing and rocketry stuff.

The bottom are small drawers

The pull out table will be on a heavy duty slide and run the length to effectively double the table size, and since it will be from within the cabinet, stuff can be piled on top of it without having to move it to use the table.
