To St Louis from North Georgia last week, in 80 - 90 degree weather with the toad clipped on four down. The engine A/C failed at startup, I haven't looked yet to see if it spit ther belt or has other problems. I get a muted click when I turn it on, so I suspect it's beltless. This weekend we will find out. The Junkerac ran with only one upset after I went over it a couple weeks ago, and the roof A/C kept the coach under 80 degrees inside. so the BWD and I were comfortable. He llounged where the reaer outlet was pointe at the floor, I had the front one aimed at my seat. The GMC pulled Monteagle each way with only a rise in temp indicated on the guage. Both ways, going down the other side cooled it back to normal. I ran it in Super, at about 40MPH going up. Cleaning the crud off the roof using bleach as someone suggested helped the inside temp consioderably. I may swap the 13.500 A/C for the 15,000 and see if tht copncludes the cool
hunt. Show site RV parking is almost always on a gravel or paved lot in teh sunshine. The 13,500 won't hold 70 degrees.
I got mileage from a bit over 8 to a bitover ten, I think deopending on the gas used. Two fillups of real gasoline in Kuttawa KY gave the best results. Also, no indication of vapor lock using it. On Atlanta gas, I went to the AUX tank once and got a bunch of sputter, returning to the main healed it. The tank was pressurinxed when I stopped to fill. After loading up on the good stuff, no more pressure. I use the infomation in Pure-gas.org for locating stations with no alcohol. All in all, 1250 miles of reasonably trouble free RVing and 40 BWDs in the same place.

Happy honeymoon! After 43 years this fall, she and I may do a second in the GMC. I bought the thing because I got tired of the rush and hassle of going to a motel, then to the dog show, then to the motel, etc. And watched a friend getting out of her SOB and walking to the ring with the dogs. And said 'Urinate on this hassle' or something like. Now, I show up the evening before the show and set up, which includes GMC setup plus setting out a dog crate and an X-pen beside the coach, and my 10x10 canopy with grooming table and tack under it. This last one was at Pruina Farms just out of STL in Gray Summit, MO. Dog persons are encouraged to check the place out any time you head West out of STL on 44. It's a really nice venue. And for my rare breed (Kuvaszok) it's a thrill to see 40 or 50 BWDs all in the same place at the same time. The Teeming Millions stayed at the Holiday Inn two exits down, so I took the Toadstone along to be able to
mingle - and rub in the positives of RVs at dog shows. And BBQed some chickens Friday noght. Here sits me and several friends under the canopy and awning swilling Cold Canned Sandiwches and observing our copmpatriots schlepping their stuff back to the hotel for restaurant food. Hardest job of the afternoon is to flip the chickens every 15 minutes or so and baste them. Life is good. It's even better watching the folks in the zillion dollar Newmar beside me scarfing KFC and looking on in envy. As I am wont to say, theirs depreciated last year more'n I paid for mione. The GMC still draws a fair crowd over a show weekend.

Way to go. You're using your GMC for some of the same reasons that I got mine 8 years ago. For towing you're doing good. Get the genny and and roof A/C checked and you will be ok. Dash air and you'll be golden.
Ada and I are currently on our honeymoon. We are in St. Mary,GA enroute from Bean Station to a rally with the Sunshine Statesmen in the Keys. My 13.5K btu roof air is fine most of the time to maintain comfort and dash air only to cool off the coach when she has been closed up without the roof air on.

Its away good to let folks know we have a good time with our GMC's.
Off this Thursday to a three day cars show.
The Streak car show at Camper Land on the Bay.
35 Th year for this show.
