I'm not so sure. When I talked to the owner he said that if I was over 6' tall, I would be uncomfortable. He says this is a custom interior that Golby installed when it was restored.
I had every intention of driving over to Eatonton last week, but my back just wouldn't let me do it. If not sold, I'll go have a look in a couple of weeks.
It is a nice looking coach.

Stick,
I hear what you're saying.
Michael Bozardt's Edgemont was the first one I saw and I was surprised when
I looked at the beds. I noted that the beds were definitely wider than the
ones in my Avion (the cabinet in between the beds was wider on the Avion)
and it appeared that they were longer too.
I asked him to get a tape measure and we measured them both and they were 77
inches long.
Come to think of it I measured another Edgemont at the Balloon Rally the
Glen Trimble of the Tulsa Lunch Bunch organized and it too was 77 inches.
Subsequent to this I measured a number of other coaches and noted from the
plastic below the rear window to the closet or bathroom wall the
measurements are:
Royale = 74"
Avion = 75"
Edgemont = 77"
If these measurements are incorrect PLEASE correct me!
The next time I have the opportunity I'm going to double check them AND
measure the width of the bed.
Hey, I just had a brain fart, why don't I email the seller and ask him to
measure the beds! DOUH!
Regards,
Rob M.

I think you're right about the Edgemont beds. I hate that I couldn't go see this before we left for Florida. Back pain is a bitch.
There is an Edgemont for sale on one of the "for sale" sites, but it is very expensive - $30K+.

Mike,
Well spotted! Now that I look at that flyer I think you're right that it's
not an Edgemont. However, note the text under the layout that states "These
full length twin beds...." Also the shower looks the same as the one in my
Avion.
I did email the seller and ask him to measure the beds; if he does I'll post
it to the GMCnet.

I do not think Edgemont. From what I understand, it was totally changed and
has a layout like this:
<http://www.bdub.net/publications/Clasco/clasco_twin_bed_flyer.html>
Comparing this with the layout of the Center kitchen Royale, I would suspect
VERY short twin beds.

Hi
It also has an original location fridge vent behind the door. I don't think
an Edgemont would have a vent panel there.

It really is a nice layout if the beds pan out. I suspect they will be short. If so, it would not work for me.At least with the standard Royale rear twin layout that I sold to Ross, I could have cut the PS closet down and made a bigger bed. With this one I'd either be in the bathroom or the kitchen...or as been discussed before, I could cut holes in the back and wrap my feet in plastic.
What I like about this layout is that you get more living room space than in the standard twin, dry side bath, with the long kitchen counter. This coach, if the beds are long enough, and the dinette removed and replaced with 2 barrel chairs, would be a good layout for me.

Stick,
You need to go see that 77 Royale you pointed out to me. It's the center
bedroom version I first suggested you need -- so you can hang your feet out
the door.

Hi,
Would you please measure the size of the twin beds.
I'd like to know the measurement from the plastic under the rear window to
the wall of the bathroom and the same on the other side.
Also I'd like to know how wide the mattresses are.
Thanks,
Rob

Stick,
You're welcome.
Your Royale had 74" beds I measured them when John owned it and I was
sleeping in it.
Believe it or not the fact that the Avion's 75 inch bed was 1 inch longer
made a difference to how well I slept
Quite frankly the only rear twin bed you will be comfortable in is probably
in a Buskirk Stretch. IIRC those are REAL full twin beds which are 80 inches
long.
JR, can you please measure the beds in your Buskirk so we can add that info
to the knowledge base?
Regards,
Rob M.

Rob - Thanks. I suspect my Royale had 75" beds.
It is still a very nice looking coach for those not quite as tall as I am.

Stick,
Just thinking of a solution to your need for a extra long bed.
You could take a standard GMC layout and make a twin bed based couch behind the passenger seat. (Where most GMC's have a dinette.) On the end by the door, you could put a flip-up "bed extension." (Kind of like what many use to extend the counter top... just padded.)
You could put the barrel chairs across from your long bed if you wish, but you might want the couch/bed for your other half. If you really need a dinette, you still have the rear "bedroom" area. Just leave it "stock" and put in a table.
This same idea would work with a rear-bath Royale (center twin bedroom) with the bed behind the door getting the extension.
But the bed extension would be on the opening side of the door, not the hinge side. (Being more in the way when the bed is set up for you.)
By basing "your coach" on a "standard layout," your choice of available coaches are MUCH improved.
Just thinking... sometimes that happens!

I don't really think I need an extension for my feet - just not a wall to but into. I'm used to hanging my feet off the end of the bed. I like the center bed, rear bath Royale, but I would prefer not to have the long cabinet that extends to the back of the driver's seat.
We don't need a dinette and we sure don't need no "stinkin" kitchen. That is why the Good Lord invented restaurants.

Stick,
I recommend you quit looking at those SOBs and think about a
standard GMC with the davo in the left front. I was 6'-4" when
I quit measuring myself. We used the davo in our Eleganza and I
slept in the top bunk and let my feet hang out. We did this
when we didn't have a towd and piled all our "stuff" on the bed
in the back. Try it, you may like it. Don't pinch your fingers.
