Dan,

On my 73 that switch controlled a light fixture in the Onan compartment -- mounted in an area adjacent to the switch.

If it was like the two in mine you wouldn't have learned much when you switched it. Neither one of mine worked.

Mine has never worked and it is so far down on the my fix it list that I never bothered to fix it.

There is a light, near the front and it works but is probably only
useful at night. One further in would be better but as yet I don't see
one back there. Thanks everyone!

I was told that switch was designed to light the compartment so we could watch the Onan NOT running. Smile
