The current toilet in the GMC is the original recirculating style. I know the CFO very well so we are not even gonna discuss keeping it or getting an exact replacement.

We will be getting a china bowl model. With our decreasing flexibility I would like to get a high rise model. Will it fit in the GMC?

The one I am looking at is:

AQUA MAGIC STYLE PLUS W/WATER SVR, HI PROFILE, BONE COLOR

What is the water saver feature. I don't quite understand the wand idea (maybe I just don't want to understand).

Does anyone have any comments on this unit. What others should I look at that would be similar.

(Sorry to ask this question again, I asked it a long time ago but can't find the answer now.)

Anyone with vintage knees will appreciate the taller style. I replaced mine with an Aqua-Magic with no problems.

Steve,

In response to your queries:

The Aqua Magic Style Plus fit in the Avion dry bath and I am pretty sure it
is narrower than the GMC wet baths.

I don't know what the water saving feature is either, I don't think mine
came with it.

I only used it during the Shawnee Convention and its additional height was
great, the only down side is you need a bit of practice to learn how far to
push the single pedal down to fill the bowl and NOT open the dump ball.

Mine did not come with the wand.

I looked at a number of ceramic bowl toilets and purchased this model
because of the price.

I bought two of them from PPL while I was in Houston, they cost me $218
each. That's a bargain for a ceramic bowl toilet!

Here's a link for those of you that might be interested; unfortunately the
price has gone up to $229.

Steve,

The plan is that one use that rinser type thing to wet the bowl rather than fill the bowl with water to keep "solids" from sticking to the bowl surface. It works better with a china bowl. I sometime use the shower for the same purpose.

Steve, Here is a pic of a style plus installed in our wet bath GMC.
http://www.gmcmhphotos.com/photos/power-level-valve-fitting/p43978-aqua-magic-style-plus-toilet.html
It is pretty close to the back wall but it did fit OK. The flange in the floor needed to be rotated so the bolts would line up, that went OK as the screws came out with out a big battle. We didn't get the sprayer deal. The style plus has been trouble free. I do spray the plastic outlet ball valve once in a while with silicone lube so it doesn't stick. Been in there since 2005. I'd buy the same again if I had it to do over.

Steve,

I forgot to mention that PPL had to order a replacement for the first toilet
I ordered. When I went to pick it up at their store their guys rolled it out
to the delivery area on a cart and I noticed one corner of the box was
smashed. I cut it open and the ceramic bowl was smashed under the corner.

It was packed well so I guess the delivery gorillas did it.

Regards,
Rob M.

Steve,
Just what Wally said. We love our's. Make sure you leave water in it or the ball may stick. If it does, use some silicone spray on it. Ask me how I know. I would not pay extra for the "sprayer". Like others have said, the shower works great.

searching for which toilet to get. Can anyone tell me the stock location of the bolts for the original toilet

in the gmc 77 plam beach. How many bolts are there. 4 or two. If you measure from the rear wall of the toilet.

are the bolts 90 degrees with only two bolts from the back wall or horizontal from the rear wall if only two bolts.

If 4 bolts are they easy with the 310 ceramic to install or is the

AQUA MAGIC STYLE PLUS W/WATER SVR, HI PROFILE, BONE COLOR

does the the work involved increase with which toilet and which is easy but tall deep and ceramic.

I need to find out these facts if possible to help me install the pot. thanks best regards. Mickey :-)

I recently replaced mine with a Dometic 300 series. Has china bowl, higher than OEM. Dropped right in, bolt location matched, water connection matched. Price was a little less than $200, at Camping World.
