Earlier this week, whilst searching for proper engine belts,
I spotted a coach in a back parking lot.
Today I went by there and asked about it. No problem on
getting a look at the coach and the TZE.
It's a 1973 Sequoia 23 footer, TZE033V101694
It's in rather sad shape, but the folks who were working
at this place (apparently a slot machine repair shop!)
gave me the name of the owner - Derek Stephens (not sure
of spelling) and a cellphone number. He is supposedly
"working on it" and the engine is in some state of rebuild,
possibly cylinder heads.
Cellphone number is 405-659-9911.
I'd say it might be okay for John Shotwell or Dave Greenberg
to call, but suggest that others do NOT pester the owner.

Derick lives in Shawnee -- and apparently visited the convention. He has posted once since meeting several GMC owners.

Well, Derick has a tough row to hoe on that coach. I'm
sure glad mine is not as far gone as his seems to be!
I guess I need to give him a call and get him interested
in coming to the Oklahoma City Lunch Bunch gatherings
that haven't been held in several months!

I _think_ I talked to Derick and his wife(?). Seems he was GIVEN the 23 foot coach. They told me it needs a lot of work.

As someone else has posted, Derick Stephens actually came out
to the Shawnee convention/rally since it was his home town!

I'd venture a guess that those who handle such things should
welcome him to the group! I don't find him in any GMCMHI
membership roster that I have.

TZE033V101694 was not listed. Could you send me the locale where it
was seen, copying John?. Perhaps I can backtrack into Derek's address.

The coach was/is in Midwest City, OK which is
a suburb about 6 miles east of OKC. The owner
has been identified, he actually came by the
Shawnee shindig, and he is in the process of
restoring the coach.
I am in contact with him and will probably
meet him in the next week or two.
The phone number is valid and I posted his
email address sometime yesterday, but here
it is again.

He owns a custom fabrication shop, so I expect
that his coach will end up as a really special
example! He wrote of replacing the cabinets
with custom-built aluminum items!
