Among all of the things he can do, Emery also is a pretty good doctor. At the GMCMI rally I sliced open my knee about 3 inches long and up to 1/2" deep on Jim K's Onan. Emery got out the first aid kit and butterfly taped the slice back together again. That was last Thursday. I called my doctor at the time and told him what Emery had done. He said that should do and to just make sure I kept the bandage clean and used Hydrogen peroxide on it.

On Tuesday after I got home I went to see the doctor. He looked at it and asked who did the repair work. He said is was perfect and he would not change a thing or remove the butterfly tape. I was told to leave the tape on for another 10 days and to change the bandage over the area a every second day.

So Emery, my doctor is impressed with your work. Thanks for the repair assistance.

Now if I could just find the name of Jim K's lawyer so I could sue him I would be OK.

This is a typical GMCer story, Ken is helping JimK with a problem on his
Onan, gets hurt and Emery helps him!

THIS is why I own a GMC!

Ken,

Very sorry to hear this happened -- but thankful Emery could give first aid and all seems well.

Is this a good time to remind everyone to keep their tetanus vaccination current? Every 10 years is now recommended.

I just got one Tuesday and found out that the shot is a preventative and not something you get after you are exposed. According to Jack (my doctor) it will take about a month after receiving the shot for it to be fully effective.

Hi Ken

Glad to hear that everything is okay
I was afraid that after my care you might need an amputation!

Since you might want to sue someone maybe I better get some malpractice insurance just in case.

We really enjoyed seeing you and Laurie at the convention and
look forward to seeing you in Amana.

It is Jim that needs the mal-Onan insurance. Hauling around a concealed deadly weapon like that Onan mounted to a GMC has to be illegal in Kalifornia.

Thanks for the help. I really appreciate you tending to my self-inflicted wound. I never saw that Onan muffler coming.

I think it was after the award was presented , that he cut his knee on
my vicious Onan generator.
The wire to the solenoid somehow became insulated and did not activate
the starter.
Thank you Ken again for tour assistance.

Ken Burton was awarded the Exceptional Assistance award from the International GMC board of directors.

Anytime Jim. You have also helped me out a lot in the past.

I'm still limping around here a bit. The Doc says do not bend the knee more than slightly for another week and a half. So I'm walking around stiff legged for a while.

I see you made an uneventful trip back to Kalifornia.

Ken,
I left Shawnee at 10 PM and arrived at our new warehouse at 9 AM Saturday.
I drove slower on the return and got around 9.7 mpg driving 70-75mph.
The 3.70 helps a lot.
