Below is the Camping World description of the Sewer Solution, a water
powered macerator. I have used this on another motor home and it worked
very well. How do they work on GMC's.

Henry,

I've been using one for almost a year now. I have had no problems at all. Self cleaning the way I have it hooked up.
No impeller to break or have to go diver down to fix.

I preferred this over the more complex electrical power driven macerators
due to their simplicity (no moving parts) and the alternative old dump
methods are not eliminated. It was also cheaper. Since the Sewer Solution
has not been mentioned since I have been following the list, I thought
there may be a fitment problem.

I've got an earlier version of that -- their very first design. I bought
it to use on the 40' SOB. It worked quite well, especially for one who
hated 3" sewer hoses but knew nothing about mechanical macerators. Then,
one day when I pulled the T-handle to dump 50 gallons of blackwater from
about 4' above the sewer, the Sewer Solution flew off of the coach, leaving
me with a 3" horizontal geyser of "stuff".

Fortunately, I was able to reach the T-handle and shut off the flood pretty
quickly. Also, I was parked alone on a 250 acre farm. And on sandy soil.
And I'd just that day bought several gallons of Chlorox for a project.
And after I cleaned up and sanitized the area, we had a 3" thunderstorm
that night. Not really too disgusting a result, under those conditions.

Even with those ameliorating circumstances, I was understandably pretty
upset when I contacted Sewer Solutions. But they were ready for me: They
immediately explained that they'd been fighting the problem of the mounting
ears of the coupling breaking off. They admitted that it had almost
bankrupted them before they learned that the lubricant they were using on
the seal was attacking every plastic formulation they tried.

I have the "Guaranteed to Not Break" replacement. It's available REAL
CHEEP if anyone wants to pay the shipment cost. It's just the "active
part", no 1" outlet hose, which I used with my first mechanical macerator
installation.

Oh yeah -- it DID work -- WHEN it worked.

How cheap is real cheap? I had a problem with the first on I had as well
and it was fixed by Sewer Solutions. I had bought a new one in the
meantime that had the new plastic glue/grease. I now have one complete,
and one without the section you have.
