If coming from East on I-44, pack the tanks full in Tulsa & save $.20 a gallon over Shawnee prices.

Will do.

Thank you.

I'm filling up in Indiana and skipping Illinois high prices for fuel. The next fuel stop will be in Missouri jsut west of St Louis, and then Tulsa. I filled up my Blazer today with non-alcohol fuel for $3.87 in Indiana. I'll stop at the same place with the motorhome tomorrow and top off. Right now it is almost full of last fall's non-alcohol gas with some added 100 low lead that I drained out of an airplane. I'm wondering what the trailer will do to my mileage. It really shouldn't affect much since it is only a 5'x 8' cargo type trailer.

I'll see you there.

$3.47 in Tulsa today. Then there's the $.03 discount at Wal-Mart.

I have stopped at a Sam's a bit west of
St Louis at Exit 278 (Big Bend, IIRC) for
fuel (not in the GMCMH). It's just north
of the exit and was one of the cheapest
in that area.

The Sam's in Joplin is also a good fuel stop
price-wise. Take Exit 8B and turn right (east)
at the first traffic signal.

Fuel prices in Tulsa tend to be very close
no matter where you go. The Flying J is very
handy coming from the east. Get off westbound
I-44 at 129th St extit just after the place
where I-244 splits to the right from I-44
to go to downtown Tulsa. Your exit is less
than 1/4 mile after the split.

I highly recommend you buy one of the
Rand McNally atlas books at Wal-Mart that
give the locations of all Wal-Mart and Sam's
stores.

For cheapest fuel prices, use www.gasbuddy.com
for your research.

Gas Buddy has an app for iPhone & iPad. Very handy.

I'm a member with 2.3 million points...I post prices regularly.

Coming from the SW, we gassed up in Roswell NM this morning at $3.57 and in Amarillo at $3.49. Plan to hit OK City in the AM before arriving at Shawnee. We find the best prices, but not necessarily the most accessible locations, on Gas Buddy.

I find that Gas Buddy is better than the msn fuel price site. It's all I use these days.

Cheapest OKC price ($3.53) with convenient access is at
Sam's Club in Midwest City (east of OKC). Three ways to
access it. Take I-40 east straight through town.

First option is Sooner Road exit and continue on the
access road past the Hudiburg Toyota, Chevy, and Buick/GMC
delerships.

Best choice is to take the next exit past Sooner Road
and get off just past the Chevy store. Continue on the
access road to Sam's.

If you miss both 1 & 2, take the SE 29th St exit and go
west (right) on SE 29th St to the first traffic light
past the Ford dealership and turn right there. Pumps
are on your left.

If you don't have access to Sam's clubs, go south on
I-44 from I-40 on the west side of OKC about 5 miles
and pick up I-240 eastbound. Wal-Mart/Murphy's gas is
at the Santa Fe exit just across the intersection at
Santa Fe. $3.54 minus the discount if you use Wal-Mart
shopping card. Access back onto I-240 (which takes you
back to I-40 east of town) is a bit tricky and you may
really need to put your foot into it!

We just got back from a week out of the country, and here in the Chicago suburbs, we're at $4.59/gallon for regular.

You guys are killing me to hear of the prices you are paying. Have a great time and safe travels!
