We were there with about twenty others. I think a couple of coaches are there still. It was warm and delightful. We saw a lot of stuff including the visitor center for the nation's largest state park, farmers market, stage play, shopping - well that was mostly a wife thing - and a really fun movie made in the area in 1920. Some of us went on to Phoenix for spring training (baseball teams, not our training) and visiting relatives. The highlight was viewing some 40 life size and larger steel statues of prehistoric animals like dinosaurs, early Spaniards, Sloths, giant tortoises, and such just out in the desert. One was an eagle the size of a small truck. We had a great barbecue and a fire free campfire on two of the evenings. We had a tail winds both ways and gas could be bought for over $5.00 in Borrego Springs if you needed a painful memory to brag about; it was $4.09 at the Salton City casino.Due to age restrictions, I would have
remembered more if you had asked earlier. I have some pictures, others have some others.
