I found a GMC motorhome...a 76 Eleganza II with a plate on the side that says serial #3338 (I couldn't get inside or find any other info) is there a way to find out anything about this coach? It also had a FMCA plate on the back with a number on it...any way to find some history using that number? I'm going back to look at it again but would like to know all I can about it. Thanks in advance for your help.

Open the right side hood & get the TZE# off the plate on the firewall & we'll know something.
Oh, and welcome to GMCnet.

Pop open the passenger side engine hatch.  On the firewall right there will be the patent plate.  The number you want begins with TZE.  Might also be a model number.  Write down everything on the plate and post here, The Registry Guy will tell you whether he has it on file or not.

If I remember correctly 76 was the peak year for EII production. The later years had more advancements and bugs worked out so that may be a good find. Welcome to the nut house.

Hi John. I'm from over south of Des Moines. Good to see somebody from my neck of the woods here. I have a former student that works at the local phone company in Wilton. Look forward to hearing about your find.

Hi Galen, yes I'm from eastern Iowa but I grew up in DM...my dad (years after I moved out) lived just off exit 68 on I35 not far from you. My kids live in the DM area so I get back there once in a while.
