I've had it with my front curtain and track. Is there a replacement that works better or should I yank it out and go with an external front windshield wrap-around cover?

I replaced mine with the standard I-beam track and it works quite well.

I used silicone spray on mine, and they work great -- and you can still get
the tabs at any RV dealer.

Other than the external covers taking up space, there's really no reason to have both, right? My curtains are in tatters and the tabs have been replaced repeatedly.

At night, with the lights on inside your coach, outside covers are like no
covers at all. You do need both. I have both.

These plastic slide devices need to be replaced as it is used.
avoid the ones that you sew on the curtain, rather use a SS pin hook
on the curtain and hook on the plastic devices.
I slide on the track extra devices in case any fail.
we should have them on our site, double or triple click on the
picture for larger image.

The Airbus has a propensity to overheat the windshield in the Arizona summertime ($50,000 per) so we use an external cover that is made of 2 layers of Sunbrella with some insulating material in between and is opaque (probably $300-500) and it drapes across both sides.

Thanks, I thought the external GMC covers were opaque. Now I understand.

I have both. That canvas one that came with my coach really keeps the heat out when I Park with the front-end facing south.

Surprisingly, there isn't a warning sewn in to remind you against flying with them on. I can't believe some lawyer would overlook that!

Why of course not. It's not really a windshield issue so much as a temperature controller that has to run because it's powered, but is being told not to run because it's already too hot. It sounds like it needs a marriage counselor more than a window shade!

Having owned more than my fair share of Peugeots, helps me understand how the Airbus "thinks".
