Hi
Has anyone tried the new Copper/nickel non-rusting, hand bendable brake lines. I was at Auto Zone today to check out the new poly/steel, and was introduced to the Copper nickel at 1/3 more in price, but all hand bendabe even in 90%. said to take the double flare very nice. Check it out.

Hum that would be interesting. My next MAJOR project is breaks, and lines.

Michael,
My first extravagance for the coach was Tom Hampton's stainless steel brake lines. They are beautiful and I'll never have to replace them. If I were to do it myself I'd buy the PolyArmour steel lines. They bend easily without kinking and may never rust. <http://www.agscompany.com/automotive/brake-fuel-transmission-lines/poly-armour>
I'm tempted to replace some of the fuel hose with the steel lines. they are available at my local Napa Auto Parts.

When I checked Advance, O'Reilly, and AZ last week, not one of them
had ANY steel tubing except the pre-fabs. :-( I'll try NAPA &
CarQuest after Shawnee.

I have yet to ever pull my wheels off. "Mechanics" have while doing tire changes, and such I've asked to to check them. But I personally haven't, and I have little trust for many of the mechanics I have ever used. I've got some sorta hesitation to learn about breaks. But once I button up a few things thats my next major job. I appreciate the posts about the lines since it will be soon I'll be diving in. Cost isn't my main concern, I want the reliability. Steve F made mention of a shop in Tucson that does alignments and I may check them out.

Don,
I believe that's made by the same company that makes PolyArmour. It looks to me as if the copper increases corrosion resistance over the coated steel lines.

> You don't need to be afraid of brakes. Take high res photos of the the assembly before you take it apart, and then put it back so it looks like the pictures. I can't count the number of times I have had to take the drum off the other side to see what it looks like to re-assemble the one I took apart. But to save your marriage (or a friendship, if using someone other than your spouse to pump the pedal), build or buy a brake bleeder for the GMC.
