Ever since I installed the EFI, the CC surges. Why, and what can I do to settle it down?

Larry, try lengthening the beaded chain a ball at a time and see if that
will help. If that has no effect, I would suspect a vacuum leak under the
throttle body, particularly if you have a 4 barrel to 2 barrel adapter
plate under the throttle body.

Don't know why. Don't use it. It'll settle right down.

Which reminds me of the fastest and most secure network.

The problem is different hysteresis in the system, carb to FI.  The cure is for The Gurus.

Where is your Rostra connected to the speedometer system? Did you have to change the VSS you were using? Did you add any speedometer cables? I had a Honda that got jumpy years ago and it was the speedo cable.

I seem to remember Rostra likes a sine wave while the EMC likes a square wave. I seem to remember Emery struggling to get everyone talking nicely.

There is a dip switch that changes the throttle sensitivity. I do not remember which one it is but it is listed in the Rostra book. I intentionally set mine more sensitive than recommended and I get some surging.

The use of Rostra control is prohibited with any other control and hence it might be giving you a problem.Rostra Cruise controls are authorized ones as they are manufactured from USA

The "Book"?? What book....real men throw out the book before installing....just kidding. I'm not sure I can find the book, but will look when I get home.

Well, I'm not using the Rostra with anything else. I have separate VSS's for Rostra and EFI. Hope I can find the Book, or someone who knows what switch to activate.

I looked today and also can not find my book. It will show up a couple of years from now when I no longer need it.

Here is a link to Rostra's general support page.

Specific cruise model documentation links are at the bottom of the page. I think Form #4565 is what you want.
