How did you cut the voltage to the "bulb" down to 1.5V?

where does the water heater vent. if i may ask please. the picture is hard to get the idea. it is behind the fridge
using the outside door and just goes out he fridge vent in the top with no pipe just vertical rise to the vent like
the fridge. If you wish to reply thank you. i like that h20 heater it seems it is just for the outside in it's info.

great light design.

LED BULB> The LED Bulbs were 12v so I didn't need to change the voltage.

HEATER FLU> The water heater uses a metal flu that I bought at HD. It goes from the top of the unit to the outside by way of the frig vent already there. My top side vent hole was fairly limited. So I used a saw and made it have a larger opening. But I did that awhile back since I wanted the frig to have better flow up top and out. It is just for out door use unless its vented.

I never took one apart, so that is a bit of a surprise. Will be interesting to see how long it lasts running on 12V instead of the 1.5V from the AA battery.

The original fixture was battery operated with a standard bulb. I just used the housing. The battery part is disconnected. I wired the 12V LED and will use 12V to turn it on off.

Maybe it had more than one AA in there and a resistor. But that's a W.A.G.

I get it. The light you made was $7 PLUS the cost of a 12V LED. Where did you get the LED?

thank you. I thought that h20 unit was for out doors only.

great light i have a few of those and that is a great idea for it
is very convenient to push on and off, but the led is a great doing more with less design for batteries and light.
more light for less battery. I have to go all leds some how. I have seen this on the list before and now i get it. thank you.
a light bulb above your head always means good idea in the cartoons,
now they have to draw an L-E-D for a good idea.

Most every thing you read makes the EZ101 look like its just for outdoor use only. But it shows you how to vent it when used otherwise. I'm guessing due to liability they call most of them outdoor water heaters due to liability.
