" THE TRIP TO THE SCOTTISH RESTAURANT "
The elderly couple went to Mcdonalds after Church
and stood by the counter looking intently at the menu.
They finally ordered their meal as follows;
We want One McDouble @ $ 1.00,
One Value French Fries @ $ !.00
and
One Senior Drink 50 Cents ~
The Girl at the counter smiled and said
that will be $3.50
with 35 Cents Tax
making a Total Of $3.85 ~
The Elderly Man Counted out $ 3.00
and his wife scrounged thru her purse
finding the remaining 85 cents ~
He took their tray and found a booth
while she filled up the
coke cup and got some napkins, ketchup'
salt, pepper and TWO STRAWS ~
By this time everybody in the restaurant
seemed to be aware and watching them,
After getting seated they bowed their heads
and held hands while they said Grace.
She Carefully Cut The Hamburger In Half
and gave one half to him.
She then took a marker out of her purse
and marked the drink cup at the half full
mark, then put the two straws in the cup ~
He spread two napkins and carefully put a
french fry on the 1st napkin and then put
a french fry on the other napkin until he
had equally divided all of them.
Then he slid a French fry Filled Napkin
Over to her side of the table ~
He then started to eat
by taking a bite of his hamburger half,
eat a couple of french fries
and then a sip of coke
while she was watching and talking to him `
Then A Young Man Couldn't Take It Any Longer.
He got up from the table where he was eating
with his family and said to the elderly woman,
"Pardon Me Lady.
If You Will Please Look Up At The Menu,
I'll Buy You Folks Anything That You Want".
She looked up at him and said
" We already have everything that we need "
He then asked "Why Are You Not Eating" ?
To Which She Sweetly Replied;
Oh We Share Everything,
I'm Just Waiting
