G'day,

I use Microsoft Outlook for my email program; I can set it up to block emails from specific email addresses.

Emails from the GMC net come in with following in the From field:

gmclist-bounces@temp.gmcnet.org; on behalf of; Joe Blogs [joe_blogs@hotmail,com]

Does anyone know if I configure Outlook to block emails from this sender will it block them all from gmclist-bounces@temp.gmcnet.org
or just this sender?

Regards,
Rob M.

I believe it works by blocking the person. I had to do this on a Yahoo
list a couple of years ago, and saw no evidence that anyone other than the
person selected was blocked.

If you right click ( assuming your right handed ) on the email and select
'Properties' you will see that OE still list the persons e-mail address as
the originating e-mail address, even though gmclist forwarded the e-mail to
you.

to keep me company.

open a gmail account
let gmail collect copies of all of your mail, from your mail accounts
gmail will store them all for free in the cloud
you can search the cloud for old emails ( I can search back 7 years)
gmail will pass through only the ones you want to see
and then you can experiment with outlook , without deleting any of your
emails
