I got my new macerator kit from one of the jim b.....I,was planning to install it this weekend,using the gmc coop members section as a guide but.....the site is not accepting my user code or passwordThere is no one at the coop thurs fri sat sun. I have looked at Jim k's site applied......this site does not show if I should take the old valve off completely or leave the inside part that is attached to the black tank....or WHAT......can anyone help....thanks...brian 77ele455

If you are using a Thetford replacement valve you should leave the flange that is attached to the tank in place. The new valve comes with a rubber seal that fits into the indentations inside the flange.

When the PO did mine he left the valve which I've found is a good ideal if you have to go into the pump with a full tank.

I do not have that flange that attaches to the remaing valve and accepts the new approx 2 ft of abs........where did that flange come from?

I just logged into the Coop's Members Only pages and clicked on each and every link there but couldn't find anything about
installing a macerator.
