Prestolite starters were also found on Harley-Davidsons on early years. They can be bought new at Fog Hollow (www.foghollow.com)(1-800-366-3464) under PN A13419 for around $140 new. Their prices are reasonable & they stock parts for all years. Not sure this will help, but here it is. I have bought parts from them including the starter mentioned for my 77 Sportster.
