GMCers: I downloaded this from the Bluebird forum, but thought it might be of interest to some. I sold construction equipment (crawler tractors, cranes, rollers, etc.) for 10 years so some of it really interested me. There is a video I'll try to attach also.

I don't have a dog in this fight. I'm not going this year - starting my new life as a college professor - but it might be fun for next year, especially if we have a real winter.

Florida Flywheeler’s 20th annual main event is coming soon February 22~25, 2012.

BASICS:

Flywheeler’s (as we like to call it) is a great family oriented get away with lots to do and not do; it’s all up to you. A great time for men and ladies and children too, bring your pets

It is a 240 acre park with a large permanent antique village, shops, tractors, implements, tractor pulls, steam powered saw mill, tractor parades etc, antique cars, neat stuff, more neat stuff.

Flywheeler’s is a 3 day event with a first time attendee being hard pressed to really see it all in 3 days.

PLUS... 40 ACRES OF FLEA MARKET!

AND... GREAT FOOD TOO!

YOU MAY ARRIVE EARLY AND CAMP THE ENTIRE WEEK OF THE EVENT INCLUDING SUNDAY THE 26TH.

RECOMMENDATIONS:

This is a dry camping event with plenty of room to camp.

I would highly recommend a golf cart type vehicle to get around in. I encourage cart sharing too

A scooter or basically any motorized contraption is allowed as long as it is less than 50” wide. You will see some weird stuff driving around, be prepared!

Golf cart rentals are available but not cheap…
Reservations are greatly encouraged.

Arrive with full water and empty holding tanks.
There is a dookie pumper truck that makes the rounds too.

Water is available but a pain to get to

Generator running is allowed 24/7 (except 12.5 Kohlers, hee hee!)

Bring $$$ for the flea market (Randy!)

OFFICIAL ORGANIZED RALLY EVENTS:

Saturday pot luck dinner featuring... red velvet cake

Evening camp fires.

Afternoon naps!

FEES:

$7.00 per person per day gate fee. Go in and out as much as you like per day.

$5.00 per golf cart fee.

$15.00 camping per night.
