I just got an e-mail from Eric Tanner showing a new airless tire and wheel being tested and produced by Michelin in South Carolina. Looks like they may hit the market in Aug. Wonder if there is a GMC application?

Like this? It's about 5 years old and they've been working on it for 10
years prior. Great idea. I think the last time I read about them, the
were working on reducing the amount of noise they made. It will be
interesting to see if these tires can be used in an RV application. With
a GMC, it would mean a ton per tire.

They get out of balance when dirt gets in them.

Maybe they'll make a flexible sidewall. I haven't seen anything new on
this idea in years. Maybe Michelin has solved that too.
