Part of the problem is the rotary valve rebuild kit instructions don't mention
using any kind of dressing on the cork gaskets. As a result, you have to tighten
the heck out of them to get the valves to not leak through the cork,
and even then it's iffy. Permatex makes gasket sealants for this purpose.
If I recall the Permatex Aviation Sealant is the stuff to use.
