it can be as much as an inch difference in height but it would change the airbag length possibly but you are right this is a gamble on the thread
being important. I get the price and tire idea, but it is interesting if it changes the size to obtain a new event from them.
thank you i agree with you not a great thread here. The axle height and attack forward could change a little with different size wheels and tires easing
the rear tire to bumps possibly. Any way for get it not important. A smaller tire rides harder.

I do not know what size tires you are looking at but the replacement 16" tire that we all use is the same diameter as the original 16.5" as Jim Hupy said.
I'm too lazy to look up and give you references. You can do it yourself on Tirerack.com and other places if you do not believe me, Jim, and Emery.

Micky,
The ride difference between the steel rims and the aluminum rims is impressive. Your tire selection will also affect the ride too! When we got our first coach in 1997 it had the steel radial rims with Goodyear all steel G159 tires. It rut ran all over the place and drove like a truck. We put Alcoa Classic aluminum wheels and Firestone RTS poly side walls tires and it drove straight and was a dream to drive. Drove that combo for 8 years. Next combo was a set of Michelin LTS poly sidewalls on the front and Goodyear G159 on the two back axles. Drove almost as well as the all poly sidewall setup. Just before I sold the coach in April of last year I put a complete new set of Michelin poly LTS tires. Our present stretch coach has 245 on the back and 225 on the front again Michelin LTS poly sidewall tire and it has a great ride. As you can see I have tried almost all combo available for our coach. If you must stick with the steel wheel you will find that your tire availa
ble will be very limited.

I HAVE A SIMILAR DILEMA I HAVE ONE BRAND NEW 875R165 FIRESTONE ON MY 76 PALM BEACH I PURCHASED YESTERDAY. SO WHAT IS THE BEST SET UP AND WHAT'S IT GOING TO COST. I WAS INITALLY THINKING ABOUT BUYING 16IN STEEL TIRES FROM A CHEVY DUALLY? I DON'T KNOW YET. I AM GOING TO BE PATIENT AND FIGURE IT OUT. COULD USE HELP. I JUST BOUGHT A NEW RADIATOR TODAY FOR HER. I PURCHASED A HIGH EFFICIENT 4 CORE FOR $500. WAS THAT A GOOD DEAL? I HAVE ONLY DRIVEN IST 6 MILES FROM THE PREVIOUS OWNERS HOUSE TO MINE ON A ONE DAY PASS.IT BARELY MADE IT. EMBARASING BREAKDOWNS ALONG THE WAY. WE ARE WORKING ON IT FULL SPEED AHEAD.

thank you for this is very valuable info, the cat paws are the best, and new german tires are the best soft and bubble ride -stop fast grabbers.
since i am not mitt i do not have a lot of money and i always look at projects as representing the public norm to allow for escape designs
like the fog gun shower, no one has ever made on for 40 or 50 years when bucky did with his dymaxion bathroom. I can get 16.5 inch tires
from my used tire friend for $30 he states he has like a lot that his friend scraps trucks and gets a lot of them. I know i will not go far for a while
so just to put around and parking for surfing and sitting around lax running my company, this sounds great. just to have spares. If i go
far i shall get the good stuff, for now i want a shower, eat, sleep, rest room and internet, sound system, tv, and mainly stop thieves.
My main fear is how to stay away from humans taking it all while i am surfing or riding my bike around the beach etc.
These are my design problems and much is here already, the stopping thieves if anyone has ideas please let me know.
I think mice are the worst as well, but an inverted cover to drive onto brought up and not over down is what i shall use.
I think this is a great selling device to put out to the public. reverse cover to drive onto for vermin. THick bottom of course. thank you.
the tires are next year. maybe.
what size tires do i need for the 16.5 he states he has 6 of one size if i need them, the ones on my gmc are new but maybe 4 years old
they seem soft and i ran them from san diego to miguels in monte clare. about 100 miles. or so, no problem. My passenger side bag blew up in this yard thank god. Manny sold me a new 3:50 trans for 1700 and put it in at the yard of the person i bought it from. It stuck in first gear when i was
2 miles from monte clair but i made it there. Miguel states it may have been low on fluid. I do not know and have had it stored and worked on there and have not driven it since. hope the trans works when i do get it. warranty is over in time i am sure, but i only drove it one day. I think manny would help me anyway and i think it was just low on fluid. I put a new right facing out window in the windshield, new brake booster, lower steering wheel slider mount
what ever it is called. now new bags from jim, so it goes - m.
