I have changed out my clearance (rooftop marker) lights for LED and no longer need those I removed.
Some were still working.
All the amber lenses are just about clear.
All the red lenses are pink.
The lamp bases are all rusted, but the housing bases appear to be stainless.
Some have leads That include the bullet connectors.

I will ship parts.

I can make you such a deal if you are interested.

Matt

I am interested. What kind of deal could you make me? I own a 1978 model and mine are in about the same condition and I am not able to change them at this time.

If yours are in about the same condition, I'm not sure why you would want my old lights or parts thereof..
Tell me what you would like to have and I can figure out how to ship them.

Matt

You may be right. I have several that are not working, but perhaps I should wait until I get all the lights new as you have apparently done.

Thanks,
Rollis

If your current lights are non-functional, they are probably easy to get back.
Get some coarse sandpaper, a 3/8 dowel and some di-electric grease. You should have some new bulbs handy - too.
Work over the socket with the sandpaper and most of the time they will work again. If you want it to stay working, then put a glob of silicon grease on the bulb so it doesn't corrode too fast.

I wasn't ready to replace the lights on my '78. I figure to do it right you might as well put in LED's...

I bought new lenses from JimK. Good buy at just under $2 each.
<http://www.appliedgmc.com/prod.itml/icOid/890> Also pick up some new gaskets.

I also picked up a cheap "dremel like" tool from Harbor Freight <http://www.harborfreight.com/power-tools/rotary-tools/80-piece-rotary-tool-kit-97626.html>

I cleaned the bases and sealed around them. On a few the socket had rusted away from the base. I used some "old" putty type epoxy to "fix" these... moving the ground wire to the socket. After cleaning the sockets I used dielectric grease and new bulbs.

I bought a bag of new SS screws and installed the new lenses.

You have to look close to see the old bases.
