After entering my last post, I realized that I have owned my GMC for two weeks shy of one year. Unfortunately, I have yet to take more than one trip in it and that was to a rally.
I hope the weather warms up soon as it appears that I now have more work to do on it than before.
1.When I had my GMC at my house this fall, I finished replacing the braking system but did not have the chance to perform the final bleed as I had to leave town so I am not sure that brakes work correctly.
2.I replaced the breakers but that did not solve the electrical problem which prevents me from switching between shore and gen. power.
3.The generator, which was working flawlessly, failed to start prior to parking it. The starter sounded like it was spinning, but the gene never caught.
I am sure the list will be longer when I finally get to bring it home to work on it again.
I really do hope to use it this summer!

Hmmmm, come to think of it I didn't lay eyes on my coach 'till 15 months after I bought it! Fortunately Tom Hampton was on the job and got our girl in great shape for us to enjoy.
It was worth the wait!

I purchased a new '73 CanyonLands 26 footer and put 82k on it in 4 years ~
In '77 a piece of I-Beam fell of of an 18 wheeler on the Indiana Toll Road.
In trying to dodge the bouncing I-beam, I knocked a hole in the oil pan
So I had to replace the '455 and then I sold it ~
I purchased our New '78 Eleganza II ~
Other than routine maintenance
I have been well pleased until the 04'27/11 storm ~
I decided to take the plunge and Bit The Bullit
Since Then I have Completed The Following;
~~> Storm Damage Repairs <~~
Replaced Right Windshield,
Replaced Rear Escape Window,
Replaced L & R Rear View Mirrors,
Replaced Grille,
AC Condenser, Hoses, Belts,
Replaced Radiator, Unner and Lower Hoses,
Installed New Hayden #2697 Fan w/clutch,
Replaced Tranny Cooler Hoses,
Replaced Oil Cooler Hoses,
Replaced PS Hoses, Belts,
R & R Aluminum Intake,Gaskets and filled the crossover.
Installed Rem-Flex Header Gaskets,
Installed New Rochester Quadrajet Carbruator,
Installed New Alternator, Belts,
Installed New R9 Fuel Lines, Vacuum lines, Heater Hoses,
Installed New Firestone #GMX801 Air Suspension Bags ~
~~~> Other Repairs and Updates since the Tornado <~~~
Installed New Center and Rear Wheel Bearings,
Installed New Timken Set A 23 Front Wheel Bearings,
Installed New Brake Pads and Shoes.
Installed New Battery Isolator,
Installed Schraeder Air Fill/Cut-off system,
2 New House Batteries,
New Coach Battery, Solenoid ans Isolator.
Installed Engine Side Vents.
Changed Seven 16.5 Wheels Over To Seven 16 Inch Wheels.
Chanced over Seven 875 X 16.5 To Seven 225/75R/16E LT Tires.
I Still Need To Replace The Drivers side Upper Toll Window,
Install the Sensative Brake Booster,
Install The Brake Combination Valve
and
a few other things that will make this 12,000# Hot rod with plumbing
A More Enjoyable Cruze Mobile ~
~ Joe ~
Do you really want to be keeping track of what you spend on the GMC ??
Personally, I'd rather not know! <VBG>
I do not even check the gas mileage ;>) I know it is 8-10 mpg (depending
upon if we tow ;>)
I run premium,- Chevron, just to be sure I get my share, for my 10,000
miles per year.
I really do not want to know what it costs, (for both of them)
I just want it to never fail on the road----
