G'day,

I am going to replace the toilet in Double Trouble as the fill valve mechanism on the old OEM Aqua Matic is shot and it's too low.

I am looking at ceramic models.

If you own an Avion and have replaced the toilet please advise what model you used.

Thanks,

Rob M.

G'day Again!

Just after I sent the email below I noticed an email from Camping World about a sale. When I opened it I found this:

http://www.campingworld.com/browse/products/index.cfm?prodid=8081&affiliateid=4010&CWID=3372805&rewrote

This is a ceramic model with an 18" seating height.

Specific question for Avion owners that have installed this model:

1) How difficult was it to install?
2) How much clearance between the lid and the doors under the sink when the doors are opened?

Questions for anyone with one:

1) The unit is good / bad / indifferent?

Regards,
Rob M.

Yep!

I always drink from the font of all GMC knowledge provided by Mr. Erf before I ask questions here! ;-)

I better add the caveat "if I remember!" ;-)

Rob M.

Rob,
I don't have an Avion but I recently replaced my OEM Thetford Electra- Magic Recirculating toilet in my 76 Palm Beach with the Dometic toilet you are considering.

Install was a snap. appearance and function are great.
Additional height is more comfortable.

I can measure seat height relative to sliding door height of the below sink cabinet if it will be helpful to you.

Gene,

Thanks for the info on the install!

The reason I am concerned with the doors under the sink in an Avion is because they swing outwards and I want to make sure that they
will clear the toilet seat when opened.

Regards,
Rob M.

Rob,

I used the Sealand 310 with the cleaning wand. Much better than the old plastic aqua-magic. Eazy install in the Kingsley.
