I wanted to install the vents I've seen people use for fresh air while driving in the cockpit floor. I walked around Lowes to see what type of " Vent" I wanted to use. I was thinking a butterfly type PVC valve, then I didn't like that. I just couldn't decide. If you have something like this what type of open/close vent did you use?
I have a parts old Mercedes benz and I was thinking about taking the open/close air vents out of it.

Perfect! I'm thinking to use the types of vents that are found on the furnace. I really don't care to much about manually opening and closing them myself. Just something cheap to use.

I have a parts old Mercedes benz and I was thinking about taking the open/close air vents out of it.

The fancy approach starts here:

I like the MB parts idea, too.
Search around on the photo site.

I opted to use the vents out of a 68 Mercedes 220 I use as a parts car for my MB projects I have going on. They already have a lever that opens and closes the vents. That style vent has a VERY adjustable vent that is round, and swivels in any direction you want. I used a hole saw, drilled out a notch for the open/close lever. Plus it already came with hose. So it cost me nothing. Tomorrow I have to install the hose. I would of tonight but ran out of time. I love free upgrades! Thx for the pics, they helped me a lot to brain storm.
