I started the coach today and the rear suspension pump did not work. It has worked fine until today. I noticed there is a 30amp circuit breaker at the top of the fuze box in the glove compartment. It is black and looks like a fuze. How can I tell if its bad and if it's a circuit breaker that opened, how do I close it? Help !!!

Bob-my 78 has a different system, but it does have a breaker in the location you describe and it indeed controls the system. I discivered that some times that breaker is making a poor connection and wiggling it around brings it back on line.

These breakers are "self resetting circuit breakers". They are often used in circuits that may have temporary higher current loads or occasional sustained high current loads (such as the suspension compressor). Usually one of two types are used in this type of system. Immediate reset, which resets as soon as a problem resolves it self, or switching which needs the system to be turned off before it resets. The compressor can make the wire pretty hot if it has to run for a long time and the circuit breaker will protect the wire (and prevent fires) by shutting down, allowing the circuit to cool before continuing. If you just use a glass fuse, the fuse will "blow" and you will be faced with replacing it to restore the circuit. You may find this to be quite a frustration. While a regular fuse will get you tempoarily on your way safely, replace the breaker with the same kind.
