besides slight triming, and fine tuning, my tv table is done,
i wanted to carry tv, but not be so obvious that i had one. i do need to weight to see how heavy the piece is, the tv's weight was 10 lbs , that was box, padding and all, add to that approx 2 feet of angle in 2 pieces, and a small trim board less than 20 inches long, not that bad i think, angle iron sitting on table top and bolted to heavy drawer slides holds weight well when tv is up.
when lowered, angle sits on bottom of box
overall, neat project,

Very nice job and nice design. It looks like the top slides back under the TV to hold it up - is that correct?

yes
top slides back with piece of angle across bottom holding rails. top is holding weight when up, but no weight added to the tv, mount holds it.
