With almost 1000 pts in November I knocked almost $1.00/gal. I filled up the tank(32 gals). Sweet!

That is nice, too bad I don't have a local Fry's. The best I can do is 10c/gal at Kroger or pick up points at Speedway.
Some time ago I was thinking that there may be marginal value to going any extra distance to get a better price. So, I did what any dweeb engineer would do.... I did a complete calculation. More accurately, I set up a spreadsheet. This spreadsheet has entries of fuel onboard (expected purchase as here), vehicle fuel rate (in MPG), and fuel cost and distance to each of as many as three fuel vendors.
Result:
At 9.5MPG and a typical buy of 35~40 gallons, it is seldom worthwhile passing the closest reasonable fuel price.
At 32MPG and a typical buy of 9.5 gallons, it is seldom worthwhile passing the closest reasonable fuel price.
I can't address anything in between because I have no data.

I prefer to go a reasonable distance out of the way to support a vendor that consistently gives a better price or service. Just like supporting the Jim's

I might agree, but we don't have any. We have the other end of the curve.

I meant to mention that. Where Randy is a Fry's is on every other corner, but only in SW. Safeway's has a similar program.
