It seems that there are not many "donor" GMCs within a convenient distance for me to retrieve parts, much less ones equipped with a buddy seat, not to mention the seat would be too large for inexpensive shipping.
Are/were there other vehicles equipped with an identical buddy seat that I could search the local wrecking yards for?

Excuse me for not being my usual wordy and sporadically verbose self. This message is sent from my iPhone.

I had one in a 71 Winnebago. I didn't care for it and changed it out as it over hung the engine access.

About 50 miles NW of Birmingham, AL. I should probably put "Alabama" or something in my sig. Since "LA" means Lower Alabama, I guess I am in "UA", Upper Alabama.

I see that as a potential problem. I would try to rig a seat base and mount that would allow me to pivot the seat for unobstructed access to the engine.
I would hate to have to remove a seat every time I need to work on the engine.

How many people can fit on the "Suburban Center Leather" seat?
