I took out the start battery, but the horn (and the running electrics) all work.
I disconnected the house battery from the combiner, and I still have the same problem.
Suggestions on where to look for something the PO did that crosses the two?
Thanks.
Dolph

1. The boost relay may be stuck, turned on, or bypassed.
2. If you still have the isolator, it can be shorted -- though not likely.
3. 'Most anywhere.

Dolph,
I do not remember what version/vintage your coach is. That might help - then again, maybe not. . .
Are you saying that things work with Both Batteries Disconnected? Hummm....
You have a combiner and are you on shore power?
The converter will set the combiner to connect both systems and the then the converter will power both, but not enough to crank.
And yes, Isolators Can Go Solid (rare, but it happens).

You did not state if the house things also work like the overhead lights, furnace, etc. If they do ,then try to start it. What happened?

The house lights work fine. There is not enough current coming over to do more than trip the solenoid, which it does admirably.
I'm going to remove the isolator tomorrow morning and see where that takes me (I have a spare, and a combiner... but I'm not messing with the system until it looks like it's working correctly, and I don't believe it is doing what it should.
I started looking at the drawings and it appears that if it's not the isolator or a bad boost relay (I don't think the latter, although my Ohmmeter will tell), I should be able to start pulling fuses and at least isolating which circuit is to blame.
