For anybody in the Central or Southern Arizona area, The GMC Saguaro Jetset is having our Christmas rally next weekend in Amado AZ.

http://www.gmcsj.com/events/2011-december-rally/

There is still one three-night slot open and about 10 two-night slots. Guests are always welcome and we always have fun. If you can't make it for the weekend, come on down for the day. There is lots to do in that area. Click on the campground link for more info on the site.

I just wanted to resurrect this post to remind anyone in Southern or Central AZ about the GMCSJ Christmas Rally. I have been talking to a new owner from Tucson that hopes to make it down for a visit, Saturday, without their not-yet-ready coach. This location is about 45 minutes south of Tucson on I-19. Come on down if you get a chance.

Sitting in that heated pool sure sounds appealing at this time!

The last weekend in January we will have a rally at the Pinal County Fairgrounds, during the Bluegrass festival. There is always a car show and a tractor pull as well as other events too. The dates would be the 26th (early arrival), 27th, 28th, and leaving the 29th. That's right in your neighborhood. We will be having rallies in Feb, Mar, and Apr. too. They will be on the website as they get closer:

I am trying to work it out so I can make a GMCSJ rally on the way to the GMCMI 2012 Spring Convention.

March 15-18, 2012
Eagle View RV Resort
Fort McDowell, AZ

GMCMI 2012 Spring Convention
March 25-31
Heart of Oklahoma Expo Center
Shawnee, OK

My current thoughts are leave here the end of February and go straight south from Oregon until we get almost to Mexico. We will spend a few weeks making it to the Phoenix area. THEN after the CMCSJ rally making our way to Shawnee.

After Shawnee, we have to make our way back to Oregon, (to work) as we still haven't paid for our LAST trip!

Anyone have any good ideas/suggestions for things to do or places to visit along the way?

We'll look forward to seeing you at the Ft. McDowell rally!

There are lots of sights to see in Northern Arizona; The Grand Canyon (the North Rim is closed in the winter, but the South rim is open year round, but still cold), Sedona, Montezuma's Well, Montezuma's Castle, and several attractions in the Flagstaff area (cold there that time of year though) to name a few.

We plan to make Shawnee our Spring trip this year and head there the week after the GMCSJ rally too.
