It's in NJ, and I'm willing to bet that he slipped a decimal point.
We will see. I've exchanged emails, and offered my phone.

Most likely.
But sometimes....
If you look up the value on "Blue Book" the $2,750 doesn't seem THAT low.
But I still think it is a scam.

You know, it's incredible what they think we are up to.
I took a different tact.....
"I'm ready to do this deal, and will be on McGuire AFB for the first half of next week.
Send me the TZE number for the coach. I'll have cash in hand, and will do the deal on the spot in cash, and you can pocket the delivery charge.
No delays. No waiting. No insurance needed. I'll be there with cash, look at the GMC, and pay you if it's as you say it is.
But the first step is a copy of the title for the GMC.
Dolph Santorine"
I won't get an answer.

The Marines have a Commandant (currently Gen Amos) but I am unsure of the Army. He did say he was in the Army... didn't he?
Checked wikipedia: I only found one Commandant in the Army.
"Commandant of the United States Army Command and General Staff College is the highest ranking official at the United States Army's Fort Leavenworth, Kansas, installation. The position is similar to the West Point Superintendent... "
I do not think he said he was in Kansas... (any more).

So... he said he was in the Air Force. They, like the Army, use "Commandant" only at their academy. In other words... same difference.... scam.

He claimed FANG. He'd have a Base Commander and a Unit Commander, Commandants belong to the Navy and its relatives.

That last sentence applies to many of us, whether there's a scam afoot or not.

I can't believe he won't take cash. <G> I even offered him a premium

money.

Dolph,
I hope you're not holding your breath waiting for a reply. For sure, it's
been fun reading the thread.
When I was in church work another minister at the church got all caught up
in a scam to get a 15-passenger Ford van for a really low price. The
scammer claimed it was one of 6 that were available as the result of an
error between Ford and the dealership.
Well, a banker in the church got involved and set things up. The scammer
was to go to a local bank in Miami where he would meet the young minister.
After inspecting the van he could pick up his money after signing a form
and showing ID.
The minister went to Florida and came back with egg on his face. The
scammer never showed up, of course.
