Just thought I'd remind everyone of Pull-a-Part
http://www.pullapart.com/inventory/search.aspx

I just checked the Atlanta inventory and found there are a '73 and a '77
Eldorado at Atlanta South; and, a '78 at Atlanta North. The '77 has only
been on the lot since 28 Oct; the others since August, so they'll be
crushed soon -- I'll bet they've all still got front suspensions, and other
useful parts.

All of us near such places need to periodically check and try to save as
many GMC-usable parts as possible. Frankly, though, I rarely bother to
check for Toronados -- I haven't seen one listed in a couple of years, vs
dozens of Eldorados.

There are no Pull-a-Part or Pick-a-Part in the Detroit Area. However, for anyone interested, there are these:

The Flat Rock one is about 25 miles north of Toledo just north of Flat Rock Speedway. Unfortunately, an inventory list is not available.

Looks like neither of these have Left coast locations.

Anyone know of something out our way?

It would be great to have a data base to look at.

We have Pick-n-Pulls around here. (Oregon)

I checked for Toros (none of the needed years) but did find one Elo in the correct year range.

Thanks,

The first link only shows eastern half.

Mike, your link works; found a Toro in Redding CA.

1. different companies

2. Double check the year of the Toro, new stuff ('79 and up) will not always work.

A note for the parts pickers:

Twice a year (spring and fall) most Pick-N-Pull yards have a 50% off sale. That is when I go and get most of my project parts. They have other sales through out the year, but only on certain parts. Check the "Events & Specials" page.

Note to JimK: When I told you I try and get my parts at HALF OFF, I was talking about at the JUNK YARD... not from you! I know your business model doesn't have that kind of margin.

OBTW...

JimK will buy SOME parts from the yards. (I sold him some wiper arms.) I have tried to get him to post a list of what he needs...
