[GMCnet] Building a "new" GMC [message #149446] |
Sat, 12 November 2011 10:28 |
|
A few days ago I was contacted by an individual who stated an interest in
working "outside the box" in building a modern and energy-efficient
version of the GMC motorhome. In the conversation he mentioned the names
of people in the GMC community and of not making the mistakes of Wheat.
The talk seemed right.
The next day I received emails with photos of some concept vehicles as
well as vehicles that were and are in production. Trust me, photos pulled
from the web don't prove anything other than an ability to do so and stick
them in an email. They do nothing to provide validity to anything.
So, I'm wondering. Has anyone on here gotten a call from this guy? He has
a good dream, no doubt. He's looking for free information to help in
building his dream. But, methinks it'll remain that.
(If you want to see one concept, just Google "boaterhome" and see that one
concept isn't so new).
By the way, one of the emails asked for confidentiality. I don't give
confidentiality to someone who says he owns several companies the likes of
which you cannot find any references to on the Internet.

Sort of too late to discuss confidentiality now.

Maybe so. However, the only "confidential" thing I revealed was the Boaterhome concept which isn't much of a concept since 21 were produced back in the 1980s.
No name was released or contact information nor did I divulge any other plans with regard to updated technology, power train, etc. So, the "secret" is still safe. The rest is speculation at this point.
I may have been born at night but it wasn't last night.

Byron,
I had to dig into you for fun.
Your points are valid.
