It sounds a bit convoluted but it should work.
I created a phone number with gooole voice.
I set it up so that text messages to that number will be forwarded to am email address (which i created on my web server)
Messages to tthat he email will be autoforwarded to any number of email addresses that I choose.
The addresses can be email or text messages to a phone.
The end result; when you place a text message to my google voice number, it will shotgun out to all the numbers and address I have subscribed.
Could I get some volunteers for testing?
If you're in the lower 48, Send me your cell number and the name of your carrier.
There is a matrix to convert cell numbers to email addresses.

Terry and Dolph volunteered to test and we have the bugs worked out.
I can add up to 150 numbers or addresses.
A text sent to a designated google phone number, or an email will imediately bounce to all the participants as an email or a text to their phone.
I don't think there is any risk of hacking or spam. It's a closed system manually edited by me.
If you would like to be added please send me the address to which you'd like to recieve messages, either an email or a cell number (include carrier info)

Dave,
Good job. I don't currently own a GMC so my spot can be left for someone
else.
I do have a suggestion -- that is to designate a backup administrator.
