AAA was great, had the 100 mile tow plan, blew the tranny out in August,
they towed it 100+ miles. They dealt with the tow company, which damaged
a front tire in the process. Of course the tow company denied the claim,
but AAA stepped up and paid it too. Many other options they offer too,
I'm a Believer now!!!

I also can endorse AAA. They refunded a tow on my bus, 28 miles, $820. Once you get past the "now, where are you again...." phone call, they are great at checking up on you.

I'll heartily endorse AAA too. The RV service gives you 4 tows per year, max 100 miles each. 8 tows per year if you put your spouse on the same account (much less than double the price). As I read the AAA site, and confirmed with the rep, the 200 mile tow does not apply to RVs. There might be some variation in understanding and implementation of that rule.

I've been towed four times for a total of about 340 miles. One time, I exceeded the 100 mile limit and paid about $40 directly to the tow guy. One time, I needed a tow from outside their service area and was told to find a local provider and submit for reimbursement. That seemed odd to me, I can't imagine why they'd want me to pick a tow service for them, but they repaid the $850 tow charge within a few days of my submission.

Make sure to tell them that the GMC will fit on a landoll, height is only 9 or 10 feet depending on your roof paraphernalia. If you can't get the landoll, make sure they are towing from the crossmember behind the front wheels.

I haven't tried any of the other services. I am completely satisfied with AAA, and I'd recommend them to anyone.

In 2009 we were in Johnson City, TN. I had AAA for my cars. I called about
service on the GMC. I was forwarded to the folks in Louisville. I agreed to
pay for Plus RV. Within 35 minutes AAA had a tow truck to take me must 2
miles to a repair facility on a Saturday morning. The driver knew just what
to do and made sure he took it easy across some intersections, etc. At the
service facility I walked in and the service writer says "What year is your
GMC?" I knew at that point I was in the right place. The guy said he used to
work with a guy that had a TZE.

I felt fortunate.
