My electric choke (2 wire "super choke" from Paterson) never closes. Is there an adjustment?

Thanks

Do you have it wired to 12 volts? Not to something that may or may not be 12 volts. I think I had to wire mine right to a resistor on my Studebaker.
Check with a meter to see if it's 12V.
One more thing, the choke will be open while you drive. When you shut off the engine the choke stays open. When you start the engine and touch the gas pedal, that's when the choke closes. You can check this by taking the air cleaner off when the engine is cold and move the gas linkage to see if the choke closes.
