John,

That weight sounds like a better SWAG!

I reckon the mileage would be better if you towed it with a VW! ;-)

From what I see from this trailer is there would be far to much tounge wieght, I feel it will have to be cut back to about half way through what is that ones front side window. From what I have learned is for every foot of trailer the center of the axles move rearward in inch. I hope that is to the hitch or would it be to the front of the trailer. Still have some work to do before I start cutting, We need this to travel well as it will haul my race bikes and eventually replace both my 18' and 29 foot trailers I tow now.

...Jay, I'm think'n... what you dont want to hear is that to gain the right ballance you will have to move the boggy's forward.
This would solve the tounge wieght problem but now you must move the door forward, or eliminate it altogether.
Solving one problem seems to create another....welcome to the world of fabracating !!
Dan

ps...good to meet you in Calgary.

During my presentation at Goshen I showed an illustration of a GMC done in
the Santa Fe "Warbonnet" look (train buffs will understand). So, to add to
the fun of "what if" I submit the following -- a GMC A&B Š

http://www.gmcmhphotos.com/photos/showphoto.php?photo=40925

OK. I need to get back to something serious.

In reference to the tongue weight and all the moving of the wheels
forward, just turn the thing around and use the back end as the hitch
end.

Mike B, in answer to your question, " Why does a round pizza come in a
square box?" It's cause they couldn't get a square one in a round box.

Sure, Roger.
Then it can lift the back of the towing vehicle. Better have a front wheel drive towing vehicle then.
That would help on bridge tows as the towing vehicle would only have the front two wheels on the ground! :)

That would be a reasonable purpose. You could also haul your mother-in-law
back there and not have to put her on the roof in the rocking chair a la
National Lampoon.

Get the accordion stuff from a railroad salvage yard and you could have an
articulated coach.

BTW, I left the AC on the trailer just to keep the "customers" happy.
