I replaced my inoperative Pressure Limit switch with a new unit and after completing it, turned on the compressor and tested for leaks. I was getting a very slow leak from the brass fitting on the back of the switch. Tried to tighten a bit more but no luck. So I got another new pipe fitting and replaced it, all wrapped neatly in new teflon tape. Still leaked, so I did it again with another new male nipple, to no avail. A friend of mine, who has some experience with air systems (it's a first for me) told me to get some Loctite 565 thread sealer, which we did, and no more leak. This is probably old news to most, but it was news to me and just thought I'd pass it along.
