I had a bad O ring but found the points were nearly closed due to a loosened mount screw. That fixed It and I feel good. I will ask for a timing light for Christmas or my birthday. I plan the petronix upgrade in the not too distant future. Thanks for your input, it was spot on but there was a minor carburetor problem too.
