Need upper control arm driver's side. Yes, there is a story, but another
day in the life of our GMC's. Thanks in advance.

Rob, TJ is very familiar with Mr. Stone.
Email me when you have time, TJ, and tell me how u did that. A used upper should not be hard to find.

Dan,

I can tell you one way to wind up with a "failed" upper control arm that Chuck Boyd knows about. Someone changed the upper control
arms on Double Trouble and DID NOT put a "half moon" between the parts that the bushing goes through which deformed them. The first
visit I made to Chucks house I mentioned that the steering was vague. TWO SECONDS later he was crawling around trying to find out
why. When he got to the drivers side he called me over and showed me that he could move the upper control arm in and out / back and
forth because the bushing was loose in the a-frame. When I installed new bushings at the COOP Jason straightened up the deformed
part around the bushings and tack welded the new bushing in place to prevent it from moving. He'd make a weld about 1/4" long and
I'd douse the weld with water to keep from frying the bushing. It worked fine.

Regards,
Rob M.

Rob, I can tell you for a fact, you and I have a real friend in Chuck Boyd. He worked all day changing out my steering. took him an hour in the seminar. One of the most helpful guys I know. Lots of work gets done at these conventions.

TJ,
Any upper from a '68 or older Eldo, Toro, will work. '78 is the last year
of compatibility.
