I bought the intake manifold gaskets from Jimk with the metal cutouts to block the crossover.

Should I use any sealant? The product is "MP2N interface solutions"

Ask Jim - call him or Nick. They are always there to answer questions about stuff they sell.

Dave: I use 3M weather stripping adhesive to hold the gaskets in place. I glue them to the block to keep from slipping down. Most here use a good silicone bead for the end gaskets. The surface must be squeeky clean to work properly. Acetone or laquer thinner is a good cleaner.

Try JimK any time. You'd be surprised how often he or Nick will answer on weekends.

If they are the Dick Paterson Gaskets and plates there should be a piece of paper in the package that shows what kind and where to place the sealant beads. I have forgotten but I think he said to use black silicone and head wanted beads on the bottoms and around the coolant ports.
