I just spoke to the owner. Except for the bathroom, it's gutted inside.
Still has the cockpit seats, generator, all plumbing, etc. The engine runs
but needs batteries.

They just bought it as a project, but as renters they can't keep it in their
driveway.

They are willing to trade for something. I asked what their bottom dollar
amount is. She said they paid $2,500 for it a few weeks ago in San Diego and
paid another $800 to have it towed north to their house. They apparently
need to get rid of it quick, so they're asking $1,000 and are even willing
to work on that with a buyer.

I do know! If it were a 23' and I wasn't home recovering from some surgery,
I would be towing it to Jim K's place in Freemont right now!

Now if I could just find a similar 23' deal...

What a great deal! I only own 1 GMC.
It's close to home.
If I ask the wife she will say NO...
I wonder if it has good Airbags?

Guy, the "It followed me home" line only works if you own a towing company... Tried & failed already...

It's not a Royale. Probably a GMC finished interior by the heater & stove vents. This one has a window where the Royale has a refrigerator.

Hahaha I know what you mean! It has worked with a dog - once. Every time I
try it with a new lathe, milling machine or other machine tool though, the
boss just looks at me kind of cross-eyed and shakes her head. The upside
though is that I do get some quiet time for a while afterward!

At least you can get away with it, silence or not. For those of you not so blessed you need to do some work. You needed to properly select your "boss". Mine bought my lathe and mill for me. She also has "tool money" cash reserve in the check book. She does not hit the reserve if she can just slide the tool cost into normal monthly expenses. (To answer a question - yes she does have unattached sisters but I won't guarantee they have similar thought patterns.)

Guy, My oldest son has been married for a year. One time, when his wife was giving him the 'silent treatment' he made the mistake of saying to her "if you think you're punishing me by not talking, you're mistaken"...OOOOOH! WRONG thing to say!!!

GMC content, guys as you get more mature, cronologically at least, your
hearing in the higher frequency ranges, like strident female voices, tends
to diminish, and you can no longer clearly hear your significant other when
cruising down the highway in your GMC. My wife of 50 years, after several
attempts to communicate while under way, became frustrated with me for not
responding to her conversations. I finally solved the problem by purchasing
her an Ipod filled with her favorite music, then she could just put in her
earphones and listen to Elvis. When we got to our destination, she would be
in a much improved state of mind. Can't say that I ever solved the issues of
buying expensive tools except that buying her jewelry of comparable value
seemed to have a calming effect. <Grin>

My bride and I solved the problem of 'toy' buying many years
ago (she has her toy's, too!). We have His, Hers and Ours
checking accounts. The His and Hers are our "play money". I
also have a deal with her, I occasionally buy and sell at
Ham radio flea markets. As long as what I buy is smaller and
cheaper than what I took to sell, I don't get in to trouble.

Well, guys, I didn't exactly get the silent treatment when I explained
to the wife that I was interested in another GMC last night over
dinner. I've already used the diamonds are a girl's best friend
routine(several times), used up all my silent treatments, she already
has a fairly new Buick, got new furniture when we moved here, several
month long vacations at her choice spots, and thinks she has an
unlimited expense account so I need some suggestions from those of you
who have more experience than I have. I'm running out of options.

Roger,

Suggest you explain how it would allow you both to spend time with the grandson, camping, bird-watching -- away from computers and tech gadgets. And with two coaches all the family could go along and still have room and privacy.

if you are desperate, then explain how the new one has the parts needed for the old one without having to pay retail.
i am not saying let the air out of an airbag and claim it blew, but if it was on my side of the world i might would try that.

Your problem guys, is that you did it wrong.
I picked the daughter of a Dutch carpenter-millwright.

Guess who is real ready for Goshen and Milan so she can see her friends again???

When I say I need a tool I don't have, all I get is the "Why are you sitting here telling me when you could go get it and get the job done right?" look.

I was once complaining to people I worked with that I couldn't get her to buy new clothes. I got two offers to trade even and one trade with a future draft choice.

Thirty-eight years of this and it is still fun.
