I need a 28* torsion bar Pork Chop, pt. no. 416373, the one with yellow paint spot. Anyone with a spare? Jim K doesn't have one. We have run out of adjustment and left front is still over 1 inch low.

Sir: doesn`t the new 1 ton front ends use the same type of torsion bar spring? Maybe the new truck one would work and be available??

Chuck,

Unfortunately the one ton torsion bar has a larger end than Buskirk used. Hopefully that will be the long term solution and Manny is working on it.

Jim K.,

The faxed outline you sent looks like it has to much angle to get it into place. We'll do a test with the existing pork chop and see if yours might work.

Hi Hal, I had the same problem and solved it by contacting Maxx Suspension who fixed me up with an adjustable pork chop that got me very close to the recommended ride height. I did have to expand the torsion bar opening in the frame a bit but it did work.

Joe,
Do you have the part number of the item that they provided so we can
add it to the available parts that could be used on the coach.

J.R. I will have to dig it up and get it to you. From what I recall it was a custom configuration, I had to fax them a tracing of my pork chop. Joe

J.R. the part number of the pork chop is SMX-MC2CU and is listed as MAXXCAM Custom for GMC Motorhome FWD. Larry was the technical person that was of great help.
