It makes you wonder whose job road kill removal is when the freshly painted yellow line goes right over the top of a dead skunk!
As witnessed on hwy.47 in north central MN in our GMC.
Always an adventure.

When I lived in NJ, the State Police would mark the deer carcases on the
side of the Interstate with fluorescent orange circles with an "X" through
the circle so they new the deer hit was reported. I used to tell out of
state visitors it was for non-resident hunters - to make it easier on them!

I live outside of town and see lots of dead racoons. I was always tempted to stop and snip off their tails. I would have a great collection by now.

I could understand the skunk on olfactory grounds but a possum?

David,

You should grab a complete carcass skin it and make a cap out of it!

We could then give you the nickname of Davey "Crockett" Jarvis! ;-)

Rob M.
