What is the weight difference between the 23 and 26 foot models? For some reason I have been curious about that.
Thanks

I've ran my '73 230 across truck scales a number of times and fully
loaded come in around #10,000. No way those scales are off by #1500 and
I don't know what I'm doing to weigh less.
Then again, is GVW the maximum weight vs the actual weight?

That's the maximum, no direct relation to actual.

Thanks for the info. I saw the WIKI info and was wondering if the dry weight was 1000lbs difference and that was reflected in the GVWR being 1000lbs different.

About three feet...
... and 2000lbs.
My 1973 26 foot, GM up-fitted side bath, weighs in just under 12,000lbs. My 1978 rear bath, Coachman upfitted, Birchaven is just over 10,000lbs. Both loaded about the same. I have not weighed the 1977... but it isn't a complete, usable coach so that weight isn't useful to this discussion.
Note that the extra space in the 26 foot often leads it to be loaded more than the 23 foot coaches.
Other differences:
The 23 foot is much easier to park and turns a little tighter. As it "fits" in a normal parking spot (as long as you watch the area around the door) it helps to have the option to park on the "car side" of rest areas, especially at night when the trucks fill the other side. I have been told it is easier to pull the motor out the top of a 23.
Most 26 foot coaches have more storage space and three "seating/bed" areas. (Compared to the two areas in the 23 foot coaches.)
If you only have a "need" for 2 "seating/bed" areas, I would recommend the shorter, lighter, easier to maneuver coach.

Either on the gas powered dining table:

or on the cockpit table for quickies:
